Dyna-Slide 3-Slide Slide Rule Kit

Dyna-Slide 3-Slide Slide Rule Kit

A must for the Do-It-Yourselfer! This kit seemed to be for use in constructing things like specialised rules and advertising gimmicks. it has a large flat cardboard piece, two stators, and three slides, all blank white cardboard, and a clear plastic overlay and some rivets to hold the whole mess together. I guess the idea was you could print up your own little cheat sheets and stuff. weird, man.

I only scanned the envelope. The bits themselves really aren't all that exciting to look at (oh, yeah, and like the envelope or, for that matter anything on this site, is). The text on the envelope reads:

This slide rule is ready for final assembly only after all markings have been made including scale graduations, numbers, titles for scales, index arrows, and the slide rule title. To assemble, attach the two stationary strips to cardboard back with rubber cement or double-coated pressure-sensitive tape making certain scales are in proper alignment and that slides move smoothly.
To make a 2-slide slide rule with stationary middle strip attach middle strip to cardboard back using same adhesive materials used for top and bottom strips.
Before attaching plastic face, spray all surfaces and edges with plastic obtainable in an aerosol container.
To attach clear plastic face, insert rivets at corners pressing parts together between thumb and fingers. Set back of rivet on solid surface and strike top of rivet with hammer, using a piece of cardboard to protect finish on rivet. The slide rule is now permanently assembled and cannot be disassembled without damaging.

There. Aren't you glad i typed all that in?
