I don't know why, but i actually like this rule better than its sibling, the 4054. There's nothing at all special about the rule; it's even simpler in design than the Lawrence slide rules. But the simple wood construction makes it look rustic or something. You know, rustic. Like a vacation in the Northwoods. With a slide rule.
